In 2015 one of my goals was to read a LOT. Most years I read a ton during the summer and not much throughout the rest of the year. I love love love to read but it can be hard to find the time in between working, blogging and being a wife and mom. But this year I made time. Even if it was just 5 minutes before I passed out each night, I did it. This year I finished 32 books and I might just have time to squeak out number 33 in the next few days!
Contrary to what you may think I don’t read fast. Most people assume that because I’m an English teacher I’m a super-fast reader. But I’m not. I read slowly, probably because I savor every word. And if I love the book, I go even slower. To me, reading a book is like watching a movie in my head. I imagine every character and every scene and that takes my brain time to process. So I read slowly and I’m more than ok with it.
As an English teacher I get asked for book recommendations a lot. Below you’ll find a list of all the books I read in 2015 (in the order I read them). The ones with ** means it was a favorite. And, if you click the links, they will take you right to Amazon and you can buy the book and get started right away. 🙂

12-30-15 at 11:35 amI loved this.. and I am challenging myself to read (at least) 2 books a month since I also love to read, but never make time for anymore! I wrote a blog post about it (2016 reading challenge) if you want to join in! We liked a lot of the same books so I added a few of the books you liked that I havent read to my goodreads list! 🙂
