Friday Faves: Mumsie Maternal Skin Care

Posted in Products I Love by

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Friday Faves post but I have a few coming up that I’m SO excited about because they’re all awesome products that I love and I know you will too. When I was pregnant with Gia 5 years ago, organic and all natural were not what they are now. It was hard to find organic produce and it was extremely expensive. And forget about natural and safe beauty products. There were some out there, but they were not easy to find and were not nearly as good as traditional stuff with all it’s chemical glory.

By the time I was pregnant with Nicholas things had changed and I knew from the moment I found out I was pregnant, that I was going to really limit the number of chemicals I allowed in my body from hair and skin care products. So I tried out a few brands and all of them made me break out like crazy.  I wish Mumsie was around then!

Mumsie #FridayFaves The Quinntessential Mommy

Mumsie is line of natural and organic skin care for pregnancy and beyond. Although I’m not pregnant I was so excited to try Mumsie’s acne cleansing facial wash. It’s free from parabens, sulfates pthalates and doesn’t contain any dyes, TEA, phenoxyethanol or BPO. It’s also salicylic acid free, making it perfect for expecting mamas. I love that it comes in a pump, and it smells good and lathers well. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth but not dry at all.

For pregnant mamas, Mumsie has two awesome stretch mark relief products: an oil and a cream. One of my friends who is expecting at the end of the month tried them oil and she loved it. It’s light and not overly greasy and really soothed her expanding belly. The stretch mark relief oil is meant to rejuvenate skin cells, improve elasticity, encourage healing and protect against future skin damage.

The cream is designed to prevent and reduce the appearance of stretch marks, improve skin elasticity, tone, texture, and discoloration before, during, and after pregnancy. I’ve been using the cream on the 2 tiger stripe stretch marks I have on my belly from Nicholas. I love the texture of it–it’s not too thin nor is it too thick — and it has an amazing, refreshing scent. Best part? I can already see the stripes lightening in color!

Available at WalMart! Cool, because I have to make a trip there anyways. I have some stretch marks on my thighs that I would love to lighten.
