Friday Faves: Tech Stuff

Posted in Products I Love by

It’s safe to say I’m a big fan of technology. From my iPhone to the iPad and my MacBook pro, I’m in deep and I love every minutFriFavese of it. I love connecting with friends and family on social media and I love documenting our lives on this blog. Today, for Friday Faves, I’m sharing a few of my absolute favorite technology products from the past few months. Seriously, check them all out because they’re so cool and innovative and I know you’ll want to grab them up too.

1. AmbyGear Smart Watch

This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time and I can’t wait to get one for Gia. AmbyGear is a Smart watch with educational games and learning apps for kids, and built in GPS, text messaging and boundary alerts for parents so you’ll always know your child is safe.

I think Gia will love this and I can’t wait to get her one for her birthday. Anything that makes her feel like a big kid is worth its weight in gold lately, and AmbyGear fits right in. I know she’ll love wearing the watch and playing games on it, and now I won’t freak out every time she wanders away from me in a store. All I have to do is open the app on my phone and I can check out where she is. She’s pretty mature and loves spreading her wings, so while I trust her enough to let her explore a little, I also love the idea that I also have piece of mind without frantically yelling Gia! Gia! every two minutes.

Other awesome features? The watch can initiate emergency calls so if your child is in trouble he or she can get help fast and thanks to the built in GPS, help will get right to your child. You can set up “geo fence” boundaries so your child can explore but won’t go too far. And, you can also send texts to the watch and get short replies back.

2. TINE Tags

TINE tags (pronounced “tiny”) are little stickers you can stick anywhere. Then scan the tag and, using the TINE app,  record a video, audio or photo message and save it to the tag.  When someone scans your TINE tag, they’ll get see your message and you’ll be notified!

I love that TINE tags are really so small. I can put a sheet of them in my purse or diaper bag and easily carry them with me for whenever I need them. And they have SO many cool uses. Stick them to your wallet or in your child’s backpack and add in your contact info. Or stick one inside a birthday card and add a personalized message or video to the card. You can also create an interactive storybook by adding TINE tags to any book you already own!

3. Pong Cases

We all know that cell phones emit radiation and no one is entirely sure exactly how bad this will prove to be for us and our brains. I don’t worry so so much about it for me because I’m an adult and I choose to use my phone and understand the risks. But both of my kids love our iPhones and the iPad though, and exposing them to radiation is scary. Even though I limit screen time on these devices, they’re so young that to be exposed to any amount of radiation is undesirable.

Enter Pong Cases. These cases redirect radiation away from your body and they’re proven to reduce cell phone radiation exposure. They’re slim, sleek and offer drop protection too! And yes, they come in super cute colors!

Megan, I think so! They also suggest teachers using them to respond to student papers. Brilliant!

I’ve never heard of any of these before. I’m fascinated especially by the Tine Tags. The smart watch is crazy! I can’t get over how small of a device we can use to do things like email!
