Living My Best Life with CoachMe Maria

Posted in Writing by

It’s no secret that we, as moms, tend to put ourselves last. We give and give and give and sometimes it takes a huge toll on us and we lose our footing. We’re not sure what we’re supposed to be doing–other than making lunches and driving kids to and from soccer and dance and gymnastics. Sometimes we forget what our passions are and what we actually like to do when we have free time. (Whatever small amount of time that may be.) Wouldn’t be awesome to have someone objective to talk to, someone who could point you in the right direction and help you figure out how to live your best life? Not a therapist. More like a friend, coaching you and helping you make great choices you know will serve you well both now and in the future?

Well last week I met that person.

I had the opportunity to meet with CoachMe Maria — a life coach — and I jumped at the chance. Lately I feel like I’m at a bit of a crossroads in my life. I’ve had a few awesome opportunities come my way and I’m not quite sure what to pursue and what to step back from. I realize this is a good “problem” to have, but I was really looking forward to gaining some clarity about the choices I’m making. I’ve never had a session with a life coach before so I was a tiny bit nervous and a lot excited.

Maria and I Skyped for an hour and we had a lively discussion about life and about my life. I asked questions and Maria would gently point out the fact that I already knew the answers to my questions. It was truly an enlightening hour and at the end I felt recharged and ready to tackle my life with a new-found sense of excitement and involvement. I felt better equipped to make decisions, knowing that I was making the decisions that’ll ultimately lead me to a very happy and fulfilling place.

Why You Should Try a Life Coaching Session with Maria

  • Maria can help you figure out where you want to take your life. Maybe you’re feeling stuck in your life. Maybe you need some clarity about a particular issue or relationship. Maybe you’re not sure what the point of your day-to-day existence is. Or maybe it’s something a bit lighter, like you want pursue your passion and you’re not sure where to start. Talk to Maria and she’ll help you dig through your “stuff” and find some answers.
  • This is not one-size-fits-all coaching. Before the session Maria asks you to fill out an intake form. You’ll answer several different questions about yourself, your past and your goals so she’s familiar with you and what you need before you “meet”. The questions themselves will open your eyes and heart so that you can make the most of your sessions with Maria.
  • Maria is funny, warm, honest and kind. We had so much fun and got so much accomplished and the hour passed in the blink of an eye.
  • You can have a session from anywhere! Maria is in MA and we Skyped, which was great. I felt like I was sitting across a table from her.

How awesome! I think I try to use my husband as my life coach sometimes. It doesn’t always work well. He mostly just stares at me and asks me what he’s supposed to do about what ever problem I’m pondering. I might have to try this out 🙂

      Hello Beautiful Joann,
Being able to strategize with your husband is awesome. That is the best partnership to shoot for, but as you said it does not work for all situations. Men often see issues as something they need to solve for you while most women just want someone to bounce stuff of off and feel heard. If yo have any questions I’d love to hear from you!
      Great big hugs,
