Mother’s Day has always held a special place in my heart, even before I became a mom myself. 35 years ago I was born on Mother’s Day so my mom and I have shared many a Mother’s Day celebrating together. (My mom got a bit cheated on the Mother’s Day front though because when you’re a kid your birthday is everything and Mother’s Day was pushed to the side to celebrate my birthday. Sorry Mom!)
Now that I’m a mom, I don’t need a day to celebrate my role as a mother–my husband and family do a great job of making me feel loved and appreciated all year long. But, I’m certainly not going to pass up the chance for a little pampering in name of Motherhood! So, bring it on Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day is just about 3 weeks away! Small yet thoughtful gifts are usually my go-tos for holidays like Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day and Valentine’s Day). I like things that are fun, and special and that I might want but wouldn’t necessarily buy for myself. So I’ve rounded up 11 awesome, unique gifts that any mom would love. And the best part is so many of these products are committed to or were born out of the desire to make the world a better place. So if you’re going to spend your hard earned money on that special mom (or mom-to-be) in your life, spend it on these companies, who are innovative and kind and who give back in all the right ways.
